About Us
Voices 4 Wellbeing (V4W) was formally launched on 27th November 2008. The team were originally based at Partnership House but in 2010 the move was made to Salmon Fields Business Village in Royton. We now share the office rooms and resources of Oldham LINK. Both Rochdale and Oldham LINKs contracts are held by Gaddum House in Manchester.
The move has proved to be a useful one as the team now have more elbow room and we are able to share utility bills. It also means that when either team, both of which are only small compared to the work load, require extra staff when they are holding events, then teams can help each other out.
V4W has created working partnerships with the local council and many organisations within the borough and their registry has increased as more people have wanted to become involved with their work.
Since 2008 V4W has been raising awareness of their statutory role and interacting with the public and various organisations using various methods. The team hold ‘Have Your Say’ events, often in partnership with other organisations, involving the general public and the users of services with the commissioners and providers of those services, in an interactive way. V4W’s team also take their Interactive Roadshow Survey (IRS) to various venues across the Rochdale Borough so that people can physically vote on certain Health and Social Care services. The information gained with the IRS has helped towards the future planning of V4W’s work as it reflects the wishes of the people.
There is an elected board of governors who will form the decision making body which is made up of representatives from the Rochdale Borough’s community.
